Chemical Peels

Chemical Peels Overview

chemical peel

It happens to everyone. Time, age, and the environment can all affect our skin, and many people are searching for a way to improve the appearance of skin that has suffered. Chemical peels and microneedling techniques can help improve the appearance of facial skin, particularly when it comes to certain kinds of fine lines, blemishes, dark spots, and other common complaints.

Chemical peels are a cosmetic process that can help reduce certain skin problems and the effects of the environment on the skin. They can help to refresh and rejuvenate facial skin, and sometimes other areas of the body, such as the neck and hands. While they are not useful for deep or prominent facial lines, creases, and wrinkles, they have shown to have a significant positive effect on other problems — acne and acne scars and blemishes, brown spots or similar skin discoloration like freckles, uneven skin tone or color, rough or scaly skin, sun damage, and some other types of scarring.

There are several different kinds of chemical peels available, all depending on what you are trying to treat and your individual skin. To determine the best kind for you, it’s best to come in and talk to one of our medspa professionals. They can help figure out if you need a light, medium or deep peel. They will also inform you about recovery time, which can differ depending on the depth of the peel.

Both chemical peels and microneedling are non-surgical and non-invasive. They are done safely and conveniently in our office, all under the care and supervision of our trained medical spa professionals. To learn more about these techniques and whether or not they are right for the skin concerns you have, call our office today.
